1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how ClearWave (“ClearWave,” “we,” “our,” or “the app”) handles information when you use the ClearWave iPhone application or contact us for support.
2. Information processed by the app
Microphone data
The decibel meter uses your device microphone to calculate live sound-level estimates. Microphone input is processed on your device in real time. ClearWave does not record, save, transmit, or upload raw microphone audio.
App preferences
Settings such as reminder time, reminder frequency, sound and haptic preferences, onboarding status, and screen-awake preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple system storage.
Notifications
If you enable cleaning reminders, the app requests notification permission and schedules reminders through Apple’s local notification system. You can disable this permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases, free trials, subscription status, renewals, and restores are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment-card details or Apple ID password.
Support communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, device model, iOS version, screenshots, and a description of the issue.
3. Analytics, advertising, and tracking
ClearWave does not include third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not sell personal information.
4. How information is used
- To provide speaker cleaning, haptics, reminders, and decibel-meter features.
- To verify subscription access through Apple StoreKit.
- To answer support requests and troubleshoot reported problems.
- To maintain the security and reliability of ClearWave.
5. Sharing and service providers
Apple provides system services used by ClearWave, including StoreKit, notifications, audio, and device permissions. Apple processes information according to its own privacy policies. We may disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security of the service.
6. Retention and your choices
Local app preferences remain on your device until you change them, reset the app, or delete the app. Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain records, and meet legal obligations.
You can revoke microphone or notification access in iOS Settings. You can manage or cancel a subscription from your Apple ID subscription settings.
7. Children’s privacy
ClearWave is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us so we can address it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for information sent to us. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as ClearWave evolves or legal requirements change. The revised date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or on this website.
